The tftp-hpa series is maintained by H. Peter Anvin <hpa (at) zytor.com>. End User Experience (so far) OK, I'll admit I haven't gotten this working yet but here's some stuff I've found: This (http://freshmeat.net/projects/tftp-hpa/) seems to be the developer's site but I didn't find much for end users. This (http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/) is a mailing list archive that has some stuff if you feel like searching for tftp-hpa and digging through 'how do I build it' messages. Once installed on my Unslung NSLU2 (using ipkg install tftp-hpa) I could edit /opt/etc/xinetd.d/tftp to get to the tftp settings and make sure it was NOT disabled and that it was serving PXEBoot? stuff out of /opt/tftpboot. That's as far as I've gotten. I can get a PXE boot from a TFTP server on my Windows machine but not my NSLU2 - probably 'cause I've got a DHCP server I haven't turned off yet. And since TFTP is part of a beefed up DHCP (um, right?) I need to make sure me PXE device sees my NSLU2 as it's DHCP server. to:

tftp-hpa!This is tftp-hpa, a conglomerate of a number of versions of the BSD TFTP code, changed around to port to a whole collection of operating systems. The goal is to work on any reasonably modern Unix with sockets. The tftp-hpa series is maintained by H. Peter Anvin <hpa (at) zytor.com>. |
