Contrary to reports [1] the NSLU2 EXT3? formatted drive CANNOT be mounted directly via USB or Firewire in Mac OS X 10.4.8 (perhaps even earlier versions) using the EXT2FS for Mac driver because the formatting is Journaled EXT3? [2](approve sites). Hence, as of now, it is not possible to directly mount an NSLU2 formatted EXT3? drive on Mac OS X.
