My LEDs don't work right!
Yes. There is only limited support for the LEDs. Here's the current status:
- Power LED - working. Software-controlled, and managed correctly by OpenSlug.
- LAN LED - working correctly (this LED is handled by hardware)
- HDD LED - working correctly (this LED is handled by hardware)
- HDD Full LED - not working. No software support.
- USB LED - not working. No software support.
- WLAN LED - working (sort of). Software-controlled, but no connection to wireless driver.
It's Awfully Quiet
Unlike the NSLU2, the dsmg600 has no internal "beeper".
What about the Buttons?
Both power button and reset button are fully functional. The reset button (located
on the back, inside the hole to the side of the network port) will cause an immediate
power-down. The power button will begin an orderly shutdown. In order to convince
the power button that you are serious, you will have to hold the button depressed
for a second or two, until the power LED begins to blink. (This is considered a
feature, by-the-way.)
